Kayla and Jody met in the most ordinary of circumstances at a workshop in December 2014. Paired up as partners, their first activity was to share a personal item with each other, and without realizing the symbolism behind the action, Kayla took off her rose quartz bracelet and handed it to Jody. Rose quartz is known as the "love crystal", with its lovely, soft pink colour and it's ties to all things lovely. It was this simple gesture that marked the beginning of a story that they both quickly realized was turning into a fairytale. And now their happily ever after has begun.
