in which brendan & lenae's hearts are made as one

"I have found for the first time what I can truly love - I have found you...  ...A fervent, a solemn passion is conceived in my heart; it leans to you, draws you to my centre and spring of life, wraps my existence about you - and, kindling in pure, powerful flame, fuses you and me in one."
-Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre

No two souls could be more entwined than those of Lenae and Brendon. Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of their love and devotion. Every detail was perfectly planned and exquisitely carried out. It beautifully represented who they were, who they are, and who they will become as they intertwine their lives as one.

Lenae and her dearest friends and family spent the morning getting ready at her parents' house. There was such an atmosphere of fun and excitement, and not a speck of stress anywhere to be found. The hard work had been done in advance, and all that was left was to simply experience the day they had worked so hard to bring to fruition.

Lenae's niece felt as much as part of the party as any of the bridesmaids. Those cute, gold curls wrapped up in those colourful rollers was just about too adorable to stand!

Lenae absolutely loves to give gifts, and this was extremely apparent on her wedding day. There were gifts everywhere, including a personalized tea set for her niece. Lenae spent as much time loving on the people around her as they did her!

Her little nephew, who is a few months shy of being three years old, was Very Important and carried out his ring bearer duties admirably.

Lenae wasn't the only one to do the gift-giving; her husband-to-be made sure she was spoiled right back.

Lenae's jewelry consisted of a bracelet and necklace that had belonged to her grandmother. Watching her closest friends adorn her with the priceless jewelry was a very touching moment.

While the girls were getting ready in the comfort of home, Brendon and his groomsmen spent their morning in a top-floor condo in downtown Regina.

His mom and sister made sure everything and everyone was in order.
With a brief stop outside of Crave Kitchen for a photo or two, the party was off to the church for the ceremony.

With vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and cracks in the walls, the First Presbyterian Church was simply breathtaking.

With the guests seated and the groomsmen hiding in a back room, the girls finally arrived.
Brendon's eyes welled up with tears as he watched his beautiful bride being escorted down the aisle be her father.
We're pretty sure her eyes did the same.

Vows said, rings placed, and kisses claimed, the happy couple receded down the aisle to the applause of their gathered friends and family.

To minimize the time spent in the cold (although it was so mild outside that we could hardly call it "cold!"), the bridal party made their way to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building for a few photos.

The couple had done their homework and found a beautiful and secluded area for us to take some more photos outside at Wascana Park. The sun that peeked through the trees was gloriously warm, making it a rather enjoyable outdoor photo experience!

With the bridal party photos complete, Lenae and Brendon snagged a few romantic moments in private.

As the sun danced it's final dance, the reception at the Travelodge Hotel & Conference Centre began. There were gold elements everywhere - it was stunning!

We have never laughed so hard during reception speeches. It is clear that both Lenae and Brendon come from extremely boring families. *wink wink*.

Lenae and Brendon's first dance was beautiful, surrounded by friends, was a beautiful moment to capture.

With the dancing done and the cake cut, we stole the bridal party away for a few freezing moments to have a little sparkler fun with them. What an awesome way to end their amazing wedding day, don't you think?!

Brendon and Lenae, it has been such a treat to get to know you better through this whole process. Your lives were already filled with joy and love, but we hope that it will be tenfold now that you are living the rest of your lives together.
